Diamondbacks scratch pitcher Zac Gallen from scheduled start
Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen has been scratched from his scheduled start on Tuesday due to a small cut on his thumb, according to a source.
The injury is not expected to delay him by more than a matter of days. The club is hopeful he can start this weekend vs. the New York Mets.
Left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who was scheduled to pitch on Wednesday, will instead pitch on Tuesday night vs. the Houston Astros. Right-hander Merrill Kelly will move up from Friday to Wednesday.

This is already the second injury-related issue Gallen has faced this season after making three trips to the injured list last season. He was delayed at the start of spring training after experiencing shoulder tightness in the offseason.
Gallen pinched his thumb in an accident at home, the source said.
After Monday's off day, the Diamondbacks open a two-game set with the Astros on Tuesday. They are off again on Thursday before starting a three-game series in New York on Friday.
