Penske Entertainment Group CEO Mark Miles has already hinted that the series will likely return next year to the short oval at The Milwaukee Mile.

Sunday at the IndyCar Series season finale at Laguna Seca, Arrow McLaren SP CEO Zac Brown also hinted the same thing, although he didn’t specifically say it would indeed be Milwaukee, which last hosted an IndyCar race in 2015 before it dropped off the schedule.

“I think we might have something coming back on the schedule for next year,” said Brown, who had more pressing things on his mind Sunday: his team earning its first win of the year, which once again ultimately fell short, although Pato O’Ward earned a team-high seven podium finishes.

As for the 2024 schedule, it’s unclear whether the IndyCar season slate will remain at 17 races or could potentially increase to 18. We’ll likely find out in a few more weeks.

Meanwhile, Miles also mentioned in a report that there likely will continue to be doubleheaders on the series’ schedule, and that NBC will return for 2024, with contract negotiations for a new TV deal in the works. Several TV and cable networks/streaming services are interested in televising IndyCar events.
