EastEnders aired exit scenes for Karen Taylor and Mitch Baker in the show's latest episode (December 8).
It had already been confirmed that Lorraine Stanley was bowing out of her role as Karen, but Roger Griffiths' departure had been kept under wraps until transmission.
The pair bowed out of Walford together, along with their grandchildren Mia and Mackenzie, and Mitch's daughter Bailey.

Friday's episode, which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer, sees Karen continue to plan her next move following the fallout of Albie's kidnap scandal.
Karen has been forced to take the blame for what happened back in November, when Phil exposed the truth in the pub earlier in the week.
Viewers know that Karen's son Keanu was the one to raise the stakes by demanding ransom money, but Karen chose to keep his name out of it – fearing for his future if Sharon knew the truth.

Seeing no way out, Karen decided to leave Walford, ignoring Mitch's pleas for her to stay and fight.
Karen asked Mitch to come away with her and the children, but he initially declined.
It wasn't until a later conversation with Harvey and Rocky that Mitch began to reevaluate his decision and rushed off to stop Karen from going without him.
After an emotional chat, the pair finally admitted they loved each other and agreed to leave together, but not before Karen had dug up Chantelle's memorial tree in the Square.
The Taylor-Bakers then drove out of Walford, with plans to head to Spain, while a horrified Phil realised they'd taken his money with them.
Lorraine has played Karen since 2017, with Roger joining the soap as Mitch the following year.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
