Four days after his miraculous survival of a horrific crash in Bahrain, Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean returned to the track to thank his rescuers.

"It's part of our job and we take it as normal that we have marshals and so on but thank you for coming, for giving the flags to warn us, come and help us when we are in a difficult situation, and thanks for trying to help me," Grosjean said.

Grosjean met the two Bahraini marshals from Bahrain International Circuit, as well as the FIA's Michael Masi (race director), Alan van der Merwe (Medical Car driver) and Dr. Ian Roberts (deputy medical delegate).

"It's no exaggeration to say that all these heroes contributed to saving the Frenchman's life," a statement from F1 said.
