Ferrari AF Corse launches refreshed look for 499P Hypercar
The livery for Ferrari AF Corse’s pair of factory 499P Hypercars has been revealed ahead of the FIA World Endurance Championship season opener in Qatar next month.
While the base color for both cars remains Ferrari red, there are some significant differences to the 499Ps that took part in the 2023 season. There are more prominent Giallo Modena yellow elements on the sidepods and dorsal fin, celebrating the 1973 Ferrari 312 PB, the most recent Ferrari prototype to compete at world championship level, prior to the 499P’s debut in the FIA WEC last year.
The team’s driver crews are unchanged for the 2024 season, with Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen sharing the No. 50 and the Le Mans-winning trio of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi driving the No. 51.
This season the two factory cars will be joined by a third, privately funded, 499P from AF Corse. The final livery for it has yet to be revealed. At a recent test for the third 499P at Yas Marina, prior to the Asian Le Mans Series finale earlier this month, it completed two long days of running into the night alongside the factory No. 50 499P in plain red.
