Fiesta Bowl Parade 2022 in Phoenix: Here's the route, the start time and how to watch

The official name — the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Lerner and Rowe — doesn’t exactly trip off the tongue.

But the parade, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 17, does have a nice full-circle quality to it.

Al McCoy, the legendary play-by-play announcer for the Phoenix Suns, will be the grand marshal. It’s fitting not only because McCoy — who used to call Arizona State University football games on TV and radio and was for a time the stadium announcer — was part of the original committee that worked to bring a college-football bowl game to Arizona.

“This is really a nice honor,” McCoy told The Arizona Republic. “I was really shocked when I was invited.”
