When will this first pot-friendly, luxury hotel open in Las Vegas?

A new Las Vegas hotel featuring an entire floor dedicated to guests who want to enjoy their cannabis on the property has announced it will open June 2.

While smoking marijuana is legal in Las Vegas for anyone 21 and older, smoking in public is not allowed by law. Many hotels are wary of rooms smelling like skunk, so they will charge a smoking fee if a guest lights up in their room. That’s where the new hotel, The Lexi, plans to step up.

Each room on the fourth floor of The Lexi, and other common areas, is equipped with a high-tech air filtration system to keep the ambiance ventilated and fresh, according to a news release.

“The Lexi designates an entire floor for the transformative experience so guests can breathe easy thanks to the state-of-the-art RestorAir filtration system in each room, which employs Advanced Oxidation Cell (AOC) technology,” a news release states.

The boutique hotel has just 64 rooms on five floors. Formerly the Artisan Hotel Boutique, the property is coming off a multimillion-dollar renovation, with a luxurious entry and sprawling grand lobby, a bar and lounge, and a European-style pool with four cabanas and eight day beds.

The room styles range from standard to a penthouse suite.
