Fleeing Ford Mustang GT Runs Out Of Road

So many people seem to think running from police is better than dealing with a citation or two. The funny thing is for every person who gets away with it, there are far more who not only get caught, their car is wrecked and they have to deal with other consequences. Take, for example, this Ford Mustang GT driver runs his car off the road when the pavement suddenly ends.
This is why you check your tires before running from police.
Like in so many of these pursuit videos, this one starts with a Georgia trooper pulling the pony car over. Only the guy behind the wheel doesn’t turn it off and keeps it in gear, plus he doesn’t pull out of the lane of travel. It’s really no shocker when he takes off as the trooper approaches.
So many guys think that “trick” works like a charm, but we’re pretty sure cops are wise to it. The trooper doesn’t really skip a beat and keeps up with the Ford as the guy tries losing him on rural roads.
At no point was this guy really working it against the trooper. Maybe he thought he was going to get away, but he lacked skill. That becomes most obvious at the end when the road stops at a dead end and the guy just keeps on going, right into the trees. That terminated the pursuit and maybe the pony car, too.
It’s a silly chase, especially when you later learn the guy risked felony charges all because he had a suspended license and failed to register the Mustang he recently bought. The trooper claims the suspect stated he had a new job and didn’t want to go to jail or he might lose it.
Running from police instead of just pulling over and taking the citation is a good way to earn some jail time. We don’t know if this guy lost his new job, but we do know he spent some time behind bars.
