From Road & Track

The Fiesta is Ford's bestseller all over the world, so there's no surprise that they went for an evolutionary design change on its exterior. You get three different front bumpers to fit your personality, and that's about it. On the inside though, it's a completely different story.

Here are the basics:

The Fiesta will be available in trims such as the upscale Vignale, the sporty ST-Line, the standard Titanium and the Active, which is a crossover-y version. It's also the first Ford with Pedestrian Detection that can help prevent collisions at night and Active Park Assist with brake interventions. It has a new B&O PLAY Sound System and SYNC 3 connectivity supported by high-definition touchscreens. It's also seven percent quieter and can be optioned with an openable panoramic glass roof.

In terms of performance (until the ST arrives late next year), we're looking at a 1.0 gas engine with 140 horsepower and a 120 horsepower diesel (in Europe), as well as cylinder de-activation and a brand new six-speed manual. The suspension is upgraded as well, and torque vectoring is there to improve cornering.

But what's really important is the new interior, mostly because the current Fiesta's cabin couldn't be further from the best in the segment. Ernst Reim, Ford Europe's Chief of Interior Design says the new Fiesta's interior "creates a unique story." I'll let him try to explain what he means by that:
