  • Now you can get a Ford Mustang Mach 1 with the auto and the Handling Pack

  • The base price of the Mach 1 is $52,915

  • Order banks open January 2021

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is joining the Bronco in getting some after-announcement-upgrades. The Handling Package will now be available to buyers of the 10-speed automatic Mach 1. It's no longer just offered on the manual version.

Ford says this, like the Bronco, came after “significant customer feedback.” This one sort of works the opposite way, though, as people are looking for higher performing automatic transmission equipped cars, as opposed to higher performing manuals in the case of the Bronco.

That Handling Package will make the Mach 1 faster on track with wider wheels measuring 10.5 and 11 inches (as opposed to 10 and 10.5) in a “tarnished dark” finish, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, adjustable strut top mounts, a performance rear spoiler with Gurney flap, unique chassis tuning, and a performance front aero splitter.

The Handling Package will cost $3,500; the ten-speed automatic, which can now be bought in tandem, is $1,595.

The Mach 1, regardless of package, comes with a 480-hp, 420 lb-ft 5.0-liter Coyote V8 and will set you back $52,915 including destination.
