The Haas Factory Team will go to battle with a pair of series veterans for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

The team, which is in effect a re-booted version of Stewart-Haas Racing—minus Stewart—announced that Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer will drive the team's two cars in 2025. Both current Xfinity Series championship contenders were inked to multiyear deals.

Creed will pilot the No. 00 Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Mayer will drive the No. 41.

"Well, this feels a little like a throwback to Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick and having that kind of talent in our room," Haas team president Joe Custer said. "It's a big day for Haas Factory Team. For these two fellas to believe in our program enough, it says a lot. We plan on dominating next year and if we don't, I'll be responsible for that because we certainly have the drivers that can get it done."

The 26-year-old Creed, who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, entered the weekend eighth in the Xfinity Series points standings, while Mayer, who is at JR Motorsports, is 12th. Mayer is already locked into the Xfinity Playoffs with two wins this season.

"The moment we closed the doors on SHR, the topic, we opened the door to the future conversations," Custer said. "And this was always our goal. We feel there's an opportunity. I didn't think I could get this level of driver in our cars this next year, candidly.

"I thought there'd be a little bit of a concern about stability, so we addressed that, we attacked it with our people, with our infrastructure, with our resources, and now with our drivers. So it's been difficult, but the future's bright. We're batting 1.000 right now for putting our full-time drivers in the Cup. And I truly believe these guys will keep that record intact.”
