Hillclimb events are known to bring out the widest variety of different racing cars from all around the motorsport world. Everything from rally cars, to formula cars, to fully-built uphill monsters shows up to see which one can get up a hill the fastest. Not coincidentally, they look awesome doing it.

The Trofeo Vallecamonica 2016-a tarmac-covered hillclimb event in Italy-was held a few months ago. Unlike some hillclimb events, such as Mount Washington, this event is purely on pavement, meaning cars can use racing slicks and low ride heights.

As a result, a host of hardcore racing cars make an appearance. We're able to see a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, an open-wheeler with some serious downforce, and even that crazy hillclimb Alfa Romeo 4C.
