Here's the Tesla Cybertruck Logo, but What Does It Mean?
Our friends at Motor1 found a trademark filing for "CYBRTRK" that the company submitted last week. Some overly imaginative person on the Tesla Motors Club page made an animation showing how each letter combines to form a pickup truck with square wheels. In any case, Tesla has been talking about building a pickup truck as long as Hyundai—and guess what, conspiracy redditors? Hyundai just announced they'd build theirs, the Santa Cruz, in 2021, when Ford will build the electric F-150 and possibly when Elon Musk wants to build the Cybertruck.
Since it's Tesla, we know the Cybertruck can be expected to be fast and have the most range of any electric pickup (however many there will actually be) when it comes out. If Tesla can't tow a 6000-pound boat in Ludicrous mode, lots of people will be angry, including us.
But what about that name? Does anyone other than IT experts use the word "cyber" aside from everyone buying discount TVs on Cyber Monday? Stay tuned, because all will become clear in a matter of days.
