High school football: Cast your vote for Varsity 845 Week 9 Player of the Week
This week's Varsity 845 Player of the Week poll is live. Finalists were chosen based on games played Oct. 31 to Nov. 6 and on information reported to the Times Herald-Record.

Finalists (listed alphabetically)
Dan Breheny, Cornwall
Breheny went 10 of 21 passing for 159 yards, along with 134 rushing yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns to lead No. 1 Cornwall (7-2) to a 35-21 win over No. 4 Minisink Valley in the Section 9 Class A semifinals.
Manny Hannon, Pine Bush
Hannon rushed for 168 yards on 12 carries, while catching two passes for 25 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 41-33 loss in a season finale to Warwick (6-4).
Joey Krasniewicz/Ryan McLaughlin/Jonah Mederos, Warwick
Krasniewicz threw for 236 yards and four touchdown passes (three to McLaughlin) to lead visiting Warwick (6-4) to a 41-33 win over Pine Bush (1-8) in a season-finale. McLaughlin finished the game with 11 receptions and 179 receiving yards. Mederos had three interceptions on defense.
Chris Leahy, Burke Catholic
Leahy ran for a season-high 421 yards and had five rushing touchdowns to lead Burke Catholic (8-2) to a 47-33 victory over Wallkill (4-6).
Casimiro Pomales Jr./Jacob Wright, Ellenville
The duo combined for eight rushing touchdowns to lead Ellenville (4-5) to a 64-51 win over Pine Plains (3-5) in eight-man football. Pomales Jr. ran for over 150 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns of 2, 4, 5 and 50 yards. Wright added four rushing touchdowns of 3, 8, 10 and 15 yards.
Jordan Thompson, James I. O'Neill
Thompson had three touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving) in his team's 35-14 road win over Goshen (4-6). O'Neill improved to 8-2 and will prepare for the Section 9 Class C championship game on Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
Nick York, Kingston
The inside linebacker made 16 tackles, including seven for a loss, as Kingston (5-4) defeated Valley Central (1-9), 28-7, in a season-finale. The 5-4 finish is the best for the Tigers since 2011, according to coach Quintin Johnson.
