2015 Honda CR-Z

Up to 36 MPG city / 39 MPG hwy
$20,145 - $24,140

As sole member of the Compact Sport-Hybrid segment, the CR-Z is also arguably Honda's most exciting car in their current line-up. With three different drive modes ranging from Econ to Sport, drivers of the first hybrid to feature a six-speed manual transmission can choose if they want the efficiency of a Prius (sort of), or the zip of Honda's well-loved hot hatch of yore, the CRX. New for 2013, a steering wheel mounted "S+" button immediately calls on electric boost from the more powerful, all-new Lithium-Ion battery pack. While not quite reaching the economic heights of its hybrid brethren like Insight or Prius, both of which flirt with 50-MPG realm, neither of those cars offer the svelte 2,657 curb weight found on the base 6-Speed CR-Z, ripe for tossing around your favorite windy road. Keeping in tow with the 2013 Civic refresh, all CR-Z's also come standard with a rearview camera, and EX models gain LED running lights to further enhance the revised front fascia. While some accuse the CR-Z of being too sporty to be an economy car, and too economical to be a sports car, the increased power and efficiency of the 2013 model is no doubt a step in the right direction.
