A benchmark in the segment, the Odyssey minivan remains a top player in a constantly changing field. Honda's ultimate family mover once wowed shoppers with a sliding door on - gasp! - both sides, but now offers the expected accouterments needed to compete in a segment that requires more tech than Bill Gates' home theater; otherwise, you'll be laughed right out of the PTA meeting. Naturally, the Odyssey is available with Bluetooth phone/audio, navigation, multi-angle rearview camera, Blind Spot Information System, Ultrawide DVD Entertainment system, and a Cool Box to chill drinks and snacks. While the kids (of any age) ride comfortably in the back two rows, Mom and Dad can drive up front with peace of mind, knowing the Odyssey is a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS and one of the first vehicles to earn NHTSA's 5-star "Overall Vehicle Score," having earned 5 stars in all crash tests, except rollover in which it earned 4 stars. While styling on a minivan is almost a moot point, the Odyssey has been commended for its clean, sharp design, including the "lightning bolt" profile line that spices up an otherwise familiar minivan profile. Reviews and Ratings
Overall Rating
Pros Cons
Seats are very comfortable for long distance Getting in front seats - have to duck head or bump it
Overall quality excellent - mileage remaining on gas: love this feature Would have liked a locked storage compartment inside for valuables
Rear hitch - automatic open & close Gas mileage could be better
Automatic sliding doors & big screen display Unless heavily loaded it is over powered.
The economical gas mileage read out on dash. 2nd row seats should go into the floor when not in use
The cd library in the radio Wish it were easier to get to third seating area
Smooth ride: better than previous model Night driving light is set too low for downhill country roads.
Smooth ride just as a sedan. Sliding door system is too slow.
Rear backup camera - excellent view More spacing between front seats and 2nd row of seats
Cargo door - able to open & close from interior of car Hatch back is not one touch automatic without fob
