Hyundai Slashes the Hybrid Elantra's Base Price by $1150 to $26,250
The 2025 Hyundai Elantra starts at $23,025, slightly more than before, but the hybrid model receives a price drop.
The entry-level Elantra Hybrid starts at $26,250, which is $1150 less than last year.
The high-performance Elantra N has a $35,100 base price; opting for the automatic transmission tacks on $1500.
Hyundai is high on hybrids. The company has already announced plans to introduce its next-gen hybrid system, and it will expand its portfolio of gas-electric models to include Genesis. To help encourage hybrid adoption, Hyundai lowers the price of one of its least expensive models, the compact Elantra sedan. For 2025, the entry-level Elantra Hybrid Blue starts at $26,250—$1150 lower than last year.
2025 Elantra Prices
Apart from being able to buy a hybrid Elantra for less money, pricing for the rest of the 2025 lineup receives a predictable but small increase. The nonhybrid Elantra's starting price rises by $250 to $23,025. That's for the base-level SE model, but the new SEL Sport that nets 17-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sporty exterior bits, and a wireless charging pad starts at $24,150. Meanwhile, the previous standalone $1750 SEL Convenience package becomes its own trim for $26,725. At the top, the well-equipped Limited starts at $27,675 and the Elanta N Line—with its 201-hp 1.6-liter turbo four and dual-clutch transmission—starts at $29,875.
Hybrid models also have a 1.6-liter four-cylinder, but that engine trades the N Line's turbocharger for an electric motor and tops out at 139 horsepower, albeit with a sizable 195 pound-feet of torque. The Elantra Hybrid lineup also adds a SEL Sport trim to go along with the top-spec Limited, with those two starting at $28,225 and $30,600, respectively.
For enthusiasts who want the hottest Elantra, the high-performance N model packs 286 horsepower and a standard six-speed manual. That setup starts at $35,100 for the 2025 model year (a small $250 increase). Once again, opting for the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic adds $1500, pushing the Elantra N's asking price to $36,600.
