The Tucson may represent value better than the rest of the vastly improved Hyundai line-up. Having a small, relatively capable crossover used to be premium in its own way, but the Tucson has taken it to the next level stuffing available features like touchscreen navigation, satellite radio and a rearview camera in-between its well chiseled shoulders. Interiors appointed beyond their price bracket have become a common theme in Hyundai's renaissance, so the Tucson was fitted with some clever tricks to adhere to the 'utility' in its name. The available electronic AWD system automatically activates when needed distributing power equally between all four wheels for optimum traction. Driver's can lock the Tucson in a 50/50 torque split between the front and rear wheels in particularly hairy situations, other wise the system defaults to powering only the front wheels for maximum fuel efficiency. Two technologies relatively uncommon amongst CUVs of this caliber, Hyundai chose the Tucson to introduce its Hillstart Assist Control (HAC), which manages braking to reduce rolling backwards on steep inclines, and Downhill Brake Control (DBC), which works largely in the same way to safely drive down a steep descent. Pros Cons
Great on gas Tipped back position of the driver's seat cuts off my circulation
10 year / 100,000 mile warranty is the best The 4 - cylinder has no horse power at all.
Ease of operating controls while driving The middle level tucson should have automatic seats.
Love the exterior style - big upgrade from my 2006. Sound of engine noise when accelerating fast.
Very comfortable & back seats easy to lower & raise Front seat placement too far from door - difficult entering / exiting
Perfect size - i wanted a small suv but with good storage Wish it got slightly better gas mileage: 29 mpg
Styling - the lines & style inside & out are nice Visibility when changing lanes is poor. seems to have large blind spot
Handling - holds the road & travels well in bad weather I need to buy a $35 part to manage ipad from steering wheel-not cool
Rear end design & design / look of roof rack Power - slow compared to acura
The all wheel drive is probably the most important feature Side profile appearance and styling not very appealing
