The Indy 500 Is Totally Sold Out

From Road & Track

Did you want to go to the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 but didn't get a ticket yet? Well, we have some bad news for you: The race is totally sold out. That means the track is expecting a packed house of 350,000 people on Sunday.

IMS announced this morning that all reserved and general admission tickets had been sold for the race. We'll see full grandstands, a full infield, and full camping lots. This is fantastic news for IndyCar and the future of the 500.

There's also good news for Indianapolis locals who didn't get tickets to the race. The tradition for decades has been to blackout the local TV broadcast until that evening to encourage people to buy tickets to the race. But because there are no more tickets, the local Indianapolis stations will show the race live.

And don't worry if your tradition has always been to attend the race and then catch the replay later at home: The local ABC affiliate will still re-air the race that evening.
