Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Pricing Announced

As we reported last month, one of the main attention-getters at the EICMA show was the Kawasaki Versys-X 300. (The comely models in black leather with transfer tattoos of the company logo on their tummies had nothing to do with it.) Rather than follow the single-cylinder trend in lightweight adventure-touring bikes, Kawasaki chose the 300cc Twin from the Ninja 300.

Obviously the small-bore market is drawing renewed attention from Honda, BMW and others as well, perceiving the broad interest in light, versatile and affordable motorcycles that appeal to a wide range of riders – the old, young, new, female, short and budget-driven buyers. “The Versys-X 300 is categorized as a “Multi Purpose Adventure Touring on Road” bike and is the entry model to the Versys family.”

Kawasaki has now announced pricing for the Versys-X 300: The standard model lists for $5,399; with ABS, $5,699. The 300-X will be available in the Spring 2017.
