2014 Kia Forte Koup

Up to 22 MPG city / 29 MPG hwy
$18,600 - $20,600

Much like its sister company Hyundai, Korean automaker Kia used to be the compromise in appliance transportation as merely an affordable machine to get passengers from A to B. Also like its big sis, Kia has been on a relentless mission to prove value doesn't have to mean cheap, and they're out to prove it with cars like the Forte group. Available in sedan, coupe, and hatch forms, there is a Forte for everyone in the family. The 5-door hatchback tops the range with a starting MSRP of $18,300 and is available with push-button start and a back-up camera; two features not in Kia's vocabulary half a decade ago. The sharp looking Forte Koup is the bad boy of the group as the least practical, least efficient (at a still very respectable 34 highway MPG) and 2nd most expensive costing $900 less than the 5-door. Sharing the same face as its premium sibling, the entry-level sedan boasts the best fuel economy of the trio and doesn't skimp on the important stuff. Standard side curtain airbags run the length of the entire cabin protecting front and rear passengers in certain collisions and 4-wheel ABS keeps things in check to help avoid incidents in the first place. Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
Gas mileage. i average filling my tank up every 2 weeks Gas mileage: 18 - 20 in the city
10 year warranty Quality of sound system. it's not bad just not premium
Front console arrangement & lighting Turning, or when going over a bump, car feels out of control
Amount of features for the price The back seat head rests are a little too high when trying to see behind
Design - great looking car, feel great when driving it Electronics: no keyless entry, & manual windows
Simply put - inexpensive car with a great warranty! Cheap wheels & not so fancy interior
I like the overall room you get for a small, compact car. Everything slides around in the console area - needs better grip
It's one of those fun - to - drive vehicles Better grip needed in snow.
Zips around corners - smooth handling Power - slightly slower than expected
Cargo storage - rear seats fold flat - under floor compartments Headroom: there is not much especially in the back seat
