Amidst an exciting overhaul of the entire Kia brand, one member of the range has been notably left behind. Wearing the same sheet metal and bearing largely the same attributes since 2006, the Sedona minivan is still a strong entry-level minivan, but is well overdue for some exciting changes. The 3.5-liter V6 is perfectly adequate in its power delivery and fuel economy, but against fresh-faced competitors like Quest and Odyssey the level of refinement lacking from Sedona is even more apparent. The big boys of the segment also stir things up with new takes on entertainment and safety, and while the Sedona is available with DVD Entertainment and side-curtain airbags, the kids may want to ride with the Jones' down the street that just picked up the Sienna. Few arguments could be made against looking into the Sedona in it's current configuration, but if the treatment Kia has given the rest of it's lineup is any indication then waiting to see what Kia has in store for one of the most innovational segments is the much stronger argument to make. Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
The warranty on a new kia is incredible Gas mileage could be better - maybe not broken in yet.
Great drive, quiet & smooth pick up Not enough leg room on driver's side
The decor and the style of the car is very chic. The lack of storage for a minivan
Plenty of leg room and space between seats Needs to have dvd device in rear. this is a family vehicle
Good interior cargo space and fold-down seats. Door frame alignment & hatch operation are not smooth
Pretty good ride for a van Car came with summer tires- has to buy 4 all season tires.
Safety is top - notch; our 2007 kia sedona was totalled - no injuries The rear sliding doors are sometimes hard to open.
The power doors are great when one has children Would have preferred a more solid center console with storage
Engine is very powerful and responsive Flip - flop cup holder - prefer console storage with cup holder
Handles like the sports car of mini vans Can feel all the bumps on road
