Kim Mulkey earns bonus after guiding LSU to national championship game in Year 2

LSU will be facing Iowa on Sunday afternoon for a shot at a national championship after the Tigers took care of business against a No. 1 seed in Virginia Tech in the Final Four.

Coach Kim Mulkey has led this program to its first national title game in just her second year on the job, and thanks to the language of her contract, she’s bringing home a $105,000 bonus, according to USA TODAY Sports’ Steve Berkowitz, and she’s now racked up $334,000 in bonuses so far this season.

LSU avoided a rematch with South Carolina in the title game after the Gamecocks were upset by the Hawkeyes on Friday night.

Now, the Tigers will play for their first national championship (and Mulkey will be coaching for another bonus).
