A longer Land Rover Defender with three rows of seating will join the ranks of the currently offered 90 and 110 models, Jaguar Land Rover executives confirmed, according to Automotive News Europe. The automaker plans to have the three-row Defender available for sale in the next 18 months.

Continuing the naming scheme of the original Defender, the new model will be sold as the Defender 130—though unlike the original 130, this one will not be available as a crew-cab pickup, to the best of our knowledge. It'll measure 201 inches bow to stern, 14 inches longer than the current four-door Defender 110, though the wheelbase will be identical. That's a whole 31 inches longer than the two-door Defender 90.

Long? Sure. But it's still 10 inches short of the current-generation Cadillac Escalade, and almost 4 inches shorter than the new three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
