Lando Norris won his second F1 Grand Prix on Sunday in the Netherlands by converting his fourth career pole to a win.

Norris did not secure his lead going into the first corner of the first lap during the Dutch Grand Prix but was able to battle back. The same scenario played out in his other two pole positions in 2024.

Norris took the lead on lap 18 and pulled away in clean air.

Norris beat Verstappen to the finish line by 22.896 seconds. Verstappen was chasing his fourth win at his home circuit to tie Jim Clark for most wins at Zandvoort.

Going into the race, Verstappen didn't expect to be able to pull out the win as the Red Bulls have been missing pace weekly on the McLaren's and often the Mercedes.

"You always try to do better; we had a good start," Verstappen told Sky Sports. "We tried everything we could today, but throughout the race, it was quite clear that we were not fast enough, so I tried to be second today."

Charles Leclerc struggled with his Ferrari all weekend and had a masterful start to put himself in podium contention after a bad practice and qualifying sixth. Leclerc would hold on to third place as McLaren's Oscar Piastri, in a much faster car, chased him down from fourth but could not make a clear pass.

"Very surprised," Leclerc said of his Dutch Grand Prix victory. "I’m not very often happy with the P3, but I think we can be extremely happy with the job that we’ve done. We’ve been struggling since Friday until the race. In the race, we found some more pace and executed a perfect strategy."

Piastri continues his streak of running every lap in the season; the young Australian driver is the only one in the field with this accomplishment.

Carlos Sainz finished fifth in his first race since signing with Williams for 2025. Followed by Sergio Perez in sixth. This means that both the McLarens and the Ferraris made a dent in the constructors' championship.

Mercedes were the biggest losers, with the six strongest competitors finishing ahead of both George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, who finished in seventh and 8th, respectively.

Pierre Gasly secured points for Alpine finishing in ninth, but one lap down. Fernando Alonso captured the final point with his tenth-place finish.
