Gaining similar changes as Lincoln's flagship sedan the MKS, the MKT sports revised suspension for sharper handling, improved engines for better fuel economy and unique to the CUV, new safety features like inflatable seatbelts. The first and most obvious change to the luxury Crossover is a revised grille and front fascia that keeps in line with the Lincoln lineup, now largely resembling a blue whale with its mouth agape. If only the Ford Flex based Sport Ute shared the same interior dimensions as that blue whale, or even the Flex. Sacrificing space for a smooth sweeping style, the interior volume is down to a maximum 75.9 cubic feet, versus the Ford's 83.2 cubic feet. Not all is lost though as the MKT does have high-quality leather as well as heated and ventilated seats even for the second row. To move all seven potential passengers, Lincoln offers the well-liked EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 that promises "the performance of a V8 with the fuel economy of a V6." To manage that performance as well as possible, the MKT introduces Continually Controlled Damping Suspension. CCDS constantly monitors suspension motion, body movement, steering and braking, and instantly adjusts suspension damping to keep everything in line. See more... See Less

Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
Smoothness and comfort of ride / and low to ground Gas mileage; pickup from starting
Engine, quick pick up, quiet and powerful Wish we were more comfortable with all the technology included.
Handling, stability & smoothness of ride Center console sticks. wrong location for arm and covers cup holders when closed
Electronics are very high quality, useful, complete 3rd row seats-small room
Performance and mpg are good for this size vehicle Armrests vs cup holders - you have to pick one or the other!
Style - performance - rapid acceleration! Tailgate vacuum - collects road film
The comfort is unsurpassed - and the quiet ride can't be matched Awd: we lost 4 mpg city and 6 mpg highway.
Ecoboost engine, quality of vehicle Line of sight to the rear of the vehicle is not good
Passenger room - lots for 5 grandchildren Need more cargo space/ better carpeting
Quality of inside & outside - top quality & look Back end looks like an oversized pt cruiser
