LIVE: Indiana Fever pick Aliyah Boston, Grace Berger in WNBA Draft
The Indiana Fever hold the No. 1 pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft scheduled for Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m. ET. They also hold the No. 7 pick in the first round, 13th and 17th in the second round, and 25th in the third round.
Though Fever general manager Lin Dunn hasn't specifically said so, she is expected to select South Carolina All-American Aliyah Boston No. 1 overall. Indiana alum Grace Berger is also a potential first-round pick.
Brian Haenchen will keep track of all things Fever, and we will have every pick here. Please remember to refresh.
Indiana Fever pick Aliyah Boston No. 1 in WNBA Draft
Not a lot of suspense in the pick, but she's a player they hope to build a contender with. The versatile post player led South Carolina to the 2022 national championship while earning National Player of the Year honors. In four seasons, she averaged 14.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots, starting all of her 138 appearances.
On the fans cheering her at Gainbridge Fieldhouse during a watch party: "I can't wait to see them at the start of the season."
Fever GM Lin Dunn on drafting Aliyah Boston: This “sends a message that we're serious about re-establishing the Indiana Fever as a championship caliber program.”
