Loudonville Halloween activities are planned for Saturday, Oct. 29, as announced last week by the sponsoring Loudonville Chamber of Commerce.

“We promise a fun, festive parade with both little and big ghosts and goblins,” Chamber Director Valerie Spreng announced.

The parade forms at 3:30 p.m. at Budd Elementary School, and will step off at 4 p.m. After the parade, costume judging will be conducted in the Park National Bank parking lot. Trick or treat will follow, downtown from 5-6 p.m., and in residential areas from 6 to 7.”

Groups planning to enter a float or unit in the Halloween parade should pick up an entry form at the Chamber office, 131 W. Main St., and return it.

Spreng said the Halloween committee is seeking a few more volunteers to serve as judges. If you’d like to judge, call Spreng at 419-994-4789.

Prizes for costume contest winners are also sought, a dozen each for first, second and third place and for different age groups. Prizes can be anything that you think kids will enjoy, Spreng said, “like gift cards, goody bags, big candy bars and cash. Your name will be put in with the prize so winners will know where the prizes came from. Donors will also be announced during the parade and costume contest.”

The Halloween parade draws some of the biggest crowds of any special event sponsored by the Chamber.
