The next generation of hypercars is on its way, with McLaren confirming the global debut of its highly anticipated P1 successor, internally known as the 'P18,' on October 6, 2024. Building on McLaren’s legacy of revolutionary supercars like the F1 and P1, the upcoming model promises to set new standards in the hypercar world.

McLaren recently released a teaser video celebrating its iconic "1" cars, hinting that the P18 will be the pinnacle of supercar technology, heralding a new era of cutting-edge performance. This next-generation hypercar is expected to incorporate groundbreaking advancements, including 3D printing technology for its components, and will feature McLaren’s signature butterfly doors.

At the heart of the P1 successor is an all-new high-revving V8 engine, paired with a state-of-the-art hybrid system developed from Formula 1 technology. Production of the P18 will be highly exclusive, with just 399 units expected to be built. The hypercar is anticipated to have a starting price of approximately £2.8 million ($3.7 million USD), reflecting both its advanced technology and its status as a collector’s dream.
