The aggressively modern looking GLK350 should come with a warning on its press photos; "Object in picture is smaller than it appears." The smallest of Mercedes' four SUVs, the GLK350 holds a much bigger presence indicating a much bigger size, but is in fact considered a compact SUV. Squared off fender-flares and sharp crease lines running the length of the tall narrow cabin recall the classic G-Class, while a curvaceous protruding snout shares more similarities with GL. Sharing these traits with its bigger siblings lends to a presence much bigger than the GLK's actual size, and thankfully the small Ute's bloodline carries throughout the rest of its features as well. Offered only with the 302 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 the GLK packs plenty of punch and still manages 19/25 city/highway MPG. Available 4Matic all-wheel drive drops the highway MPG to 24, but ensures a more confident journey through any weather or terrain more ambitious drivers may come across. That tall narrow cabin provides a spacious interior for all five passengers and small touches like air vents shared with the SLS-AMG super car ensure a presence of luxury and style hard to come by in competitors.
