For the first time in the history of the sport every driver in the top ten finishing positions is a former Grand Prix winner. In order, following George Russell’s disqualification, the drivers came home Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon, and Daniel Ricciardo.

PARIS (Reuters) -Canadian gymnast Felix Dolci got a second chance to perform his entire horizontal bar routine in the men's all-around final at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday after an equipment malfunction sent him flying off the apparatus. Still lying on the mat, Dolci was examined by team staff before he walked away from the area, holding his snapped handgrip up to the crowd and showing off his badly bruised hand. Wearing a new grip on his right hand, Dolci mounted the bar again but suffered another crash landing while attempting the Kolman release-and-catch element.

Biles helped the United States win the women's team event Tuesday to secure her fifth Olympic gold medal and put the U.S. back on top of the sport after a second-place finish three years ago in Tokyo. Biles became the most decorated American gymnast in front of a crowd that included Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Serena Williams, Spike Lee, Michael Phelps and Nadia Comaneci at a raucous Bercy Arena.

Iga Swiatek dropped to her knees and clutched at her midsection after getting hit by a ball in the Paris Olympics quarterfinals Wednesday, but it was her opponent, Danielle Collins, who stopped playing in the third set because of an injured stomach muscle she said was caused by cramping and dehydration from a lack of cold water available during a previous match. When they spoke afterward, Collins gave Swiatek an earful, telling her “she didn't have to be insincere about my injury,” according to Collins. Swiatek, a five-time Grand Slam champion who is the top-seeded woman at the Summer Games, was leading 6-2, 1-6, 4-1 when Collins retired from the match after taking a medical timeout, then getting another visit from a trainer in the third set.
