The legendary design house Automobili Pininfarina says it is now offering bespoke services for its Battista electric hypercar.
The Italian firm says 128 million combinations are available.
One of those is a New York City-inspired example.
Pininfarina says it will offer customers the opportunity to add their own design features to their Battista orders with an extensive personalization program. And when we say extensive we mean it: Pininfarina says some 128 million design combinations are possible, touching every part of the car.
To refresh your memory, the EV’s performance claims are: 0-60 mph in less than two seconds, 0-186 in less than 12 seconds, a 250-plus top speed, and a range of more than 300 miles.
Once a customer has decided to get one of the 1900-hp electric hypercars, they can customize paint colors, or choose exposed carbon-fiber bodywork, and pick from several interior finishes and aluminum trim detailing.
Other customizable options include an altered rear wing, brake calipers, wheels, center-lock rings, and even mirror caps.
“The Pininfarina name has a storied heritage of individual cars, and the Battista continues this legacy, as every vehicle will be truly bespoke by design,” said Sara Campagnolo, the firm’s color and materials design boss.
“Our clients have the unique opportunity to join the Automobili Pininfarina family, immersing themselves in the design process with our talented craftspeople to ensure their vehicle authentically reflects their personality and tastes, created with a truly personal touch. Clients have the opportunity to drive forward the development of sustainable luxury, whilst creating a unique collector’s piece.”
The personalization program was revealed alongside a New York City-inspired design with a red-white-and-blue color scheme with some carbon fiber bodywork and racy looking stripes. That car also has a red exterior jewelry pack, a black roof, rear diffuser and rear wing, matte gray wheels, and brushed-aluminum headlight engraving. The interior has black leather seats, white seatbelts, blue Alcantara, and a combination of blue, red, and white stitching.
Customers can visit Pininfarina’s Cambiano facility to embark on what the company calls “a journey with the design team to create their perfect pure-electric hyper GT,” after checking out all the various combinations in person.
“With a carefully curated selection of historic and classic vehicles on display in the neighboring museum, the company said, “the new Atelier in Cambiano will serve as a rich hub of exquisite collectible vehicles to inspire the next generation of pure-electric automotive creations.”
Only 150 Battistas are planned with sales split almost equally between Europe, the US and the rest of the world. Word on the street is that the car will cost around $2.7 million and that a range of luxury SUVs are next in the design firm’s pipeline.
