Hurricane Helene has ravaged parts of the Southeastern United States, with the storm causing widespread flooding, destroying homes, and leaving millions without power. The death toll is also reportedly approaching 100 people, according to Reuters, as the disaster has affected states such as Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and North Carolina. That region is also the heart of NASCAR country, and now some of its stars are getting involved in the relief efforts.

Over the weekend, former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle shared posts on his social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram that showed him using his private helicopter to deliver donated supplies to hurricane victims in parts of Western North Carolina. Several posts include videos that show Biffle flying over the devastation, but he wasn't the only person with NASCAR ties who is leveraging their resources to help with the situation.

Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports have also been linked to the recovery efforts. While neither of those NASCAR teams has explicitly posted about their involvement, Bozi Tatarevic, who is a contributing editor for Road & Track, yesterday posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, an image of flight paths showing helicopters owned by Hendrick, Gibbs, and Biffle flying into parts of Western North Carolina.

Banner Elk, a town in North Carolina, also posted a thank you message on its Facebook page to Joe Gibbs Racing as well as the many others who delivered supplies and helped those in need. If you want to help with the hurricane relief efforts, the American Red Cross accepts donations.
