Introduction

In advance of the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Lincoln unveils the updated 2015 Navigator, its full-size, 8-passenger luxury SUV. The new Navigator continues in both regular- and extended-length styles, the latter featuring substantially more cargo space than the former.

Exterior Features

The most noticeable change to the 2015 Lincoln Navigator is its front styling. The SUV now wears the Lincoln-signature split-wing grille design that is found on nearly all other Lincoln models. A new hood picks up the design cues established by the split-wing grille, and the new Navigator features adaptive HID headlights with LED running lights, as well as a revised power tailgate with LED taillights. A set of redesigned 20-inch machined-face aluminum wheels is standard for the 2015 Navigator, along with new welcome lighting that casts illumination on the ground below the front doors to help owners avoid puddles.

Interior Features

Changes to the 2015 Lincoln Navigator are less obvious inside the cabin. A new steering wheel wrapped in premium leather and wood is standard, and while the instrument panel retains its familiar dual-cowl design, the controls are updated and reconfigured for 2015. Standard equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain's chairs.

PowerFold third-row seats return for 2015, and Lincoln expects the new Navigator to offer class-leading cargo volume. Regular-length models provide between 18.1 cu. ft. and 103.3 cu. ft. of space, depending on how many passengers are carried, while the longer 2015 Navigator L model delivers a minimum of 42.6 cu. ft. behind the third-row seat and a maximum of 128.2 cu. ft. of cargo volume with both rear rows folded down.
