Brit buys $4.5M supercar 'holy trinity'

Jealous much? A British multimillionaire could well be the first person to purchase the so called "holy-trinity" of rare high performance supercars.

Paul Bailey, who made his millions from teleconferencing, now owns the £866,000 ($1.3 million) McLaren P1, the Porsche 918 Spyder and LaFerrari on top of his his collection of around 30 supercars.

These three cars are known for their ultra-rarity, high price tag and ability to go at over 200 miles per hour. Only 375 McLaren P1s were produced, 918 Porsche 918s were made and cost around $1 million and 499 LaFerraris worth around $1.7 million each will be built to maintain exclusivity.

In total, the three cars are estimated to be worth over £3 million.

Bailey and his wife Selena bagged around £28 million after they sold their telephone conferencing business to telecoms company Daisy Group in 2012.

The couple set out in their McLaren P1 from their home in the middle of England on Saturday to the Ferrari dealership roughly 33 miles up the road. There, Mrs Bailey took the wheel of the P1 while Mr Bailey drove his new Ferrari LaFerrari. The couple, along with a friend who was accompanying them, then drove to the Porsche dealership 100 miles south to pick up the 918.

All three of Mr Bailey's cars are now sold out.

Mr Bailey is reportedly offering rides in his new car through Supercar Driver, a members club for people who own supercars of which he is a member.

"I live a very surreal life and being the first to own all three does not feel real. This is why I want to use and share the cars with enthusiasts," he said, according to a quote in the Daily Mail.
