The Ford Motor Company’s [NYSE:F] new GT race car doesn’t make its competition debut until the 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona, scheduled for the last weekend of January, but there’s plenty of testing and fine tuning to complete before it’s ready for action. This video gives us an inside look at what the development process is like. It includes footage of the car’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 on the dynamometer, the suspension being given a thorough workout, and the initial tests at Sebring and Daytona.
