Satin Vapor Edition SRT Models Debut at Chicago Auto Show

When you go shopping for a performance-tuned Street and Racing Technology (SRT) version of the 2014 Chrysler 300, 2014 Dodge Challenger, or 2014 Dodge Charger, you've got a decision to make. You can save a few bucks and get what is called the "Core" version of each car, one without many of the fancy trimmings but all of the hardware that makes them go fast in order for you to have fun, or you can choose the standard model with stuff that isn't necessary to the core mission: performance.

At the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Chrysler announced new Satin Vapor Edition versions of each of its core SRT models. "Building on our core vehicle strategy, the Satin Vapor Edition models add some swagger with new, brand-exclusive finishes and content that augment the value proposition of our popular 'Core' price classes," said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO--SRT Brand and Motorsports.

As applied to the Chrysler 300 SRT Core, the Satin Vapor Edition treatment features 20-inch forged aluminum wheels in a Black Satin Vapor Chrome finish, red brake calipers, and Satin Black paint for the side mirrors, roof, and rear spoiler. Inside, this model has black premium leather seats with ultra-suede inserts and a mix of matte carbon and piano black trim. The treatment adds $2,300 to the price of the car, and is offered with Bright White, Billet Silver, or Granite Crystal paint.
