There was (and still is) a lot of hustle and bustle surrounding the new and improved Ford Mustang. What was once the aging face of a long-lived American muscle car, has been transformed into a potent, worldly sportscar. Now, the very first Mustang ever to be sold will be headed to Barrett-Jackson.
Going under the hammer on January 18th in Scottsdale, Arizona, the 2015 Ford Mustang GT features a 5.0-liter V8 with 420 horsepower, or more. Of course, the new Mustang won’t be ready for customers until next year, so said perspective bidder will be able to pick and choose color combinations, interior, etc.
But not only is this pony car headed home to one lucky enthusiast, but all of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation. A noble car headed for a noble cause — now that’s something we can get behind.
