If you are in the market for a new supercar, several vehicles top the list. The Ferrari 458 is still relevant, the McLaren MP4-12C is still a looker, and the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is sure to stir up some emotions. But owning a car like this is all about having the newest– which means anyone driving the new 2015 Lamborghini Huracán this year will be the toast of the country club.
We have heard about the Gallardo replacement for a while, but only now have we learned how much jet-setters will be forced to fork over to keep up with the well-heeled Jonses. According to GTSpirit, the new Lambo will cost £150,600 in the UK. That converts to $249,660 in good ole fashioned greenbacks. The UK also adds a vehicle-added-tax that amounts to £30,120. We pay our share of taxes, but a nearly-$50,000 tax? This is why we fought the Revolutionary War!
The UK price conversion is not exact, and certain transport costs and other fees to bring the Huracán to the states will likely effect the price. But $250,000 was an expected price, especially considering the outgoing Gallardo starts at $181,000 ($209,500 for the convertible), $250K might be higher than the outgoing price, but considering it is for the first Gallardo replacement in ten years, it’s fair.
