Analysis of Thursday’s NTT IndyCar Series’ agreement with FOX Sports has focused on its impact vis-à-vis NASCAR’S upcoming multi-channel programming, with no regard to the NHRA’s 20-race schedule that has found a home with FOX since 2016.

But Josh Hachat, NHRA’s director of public relations and communications, said the drag-racing sanctioning body is happy with the FOX-IndyCar alignment. And even though the NHRA has not yet released its 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series calendar, he said time-slot conflicts aren’t likely.

“We’ve already been having conversations with FOX about the 2025 schedule start times. Our overall schedule and FOX broadcast network windows will align favorably with IndyCar’s schedule in 2025,” Hachat said.

“We’re excited to have IndyCar on FOX, and it gives fans a true motorsports network.”

The NHRA’s broadcast contract with FOX continues through the 2026 season.

IndyCar’s 17-race 2025 schedule runs from March 2-Aug. 31. NHRA events traditionally go from March through early November.
