The 2013 Nissan Maxima wears the 4-door sportscar moniker and continues to set the standard for sporty appeal in the premium mid-size segment. Maxima combines taut, athletic styling, a driver-focused cockpit, ample passenger space, a sport-tuned suspension, and the quickest steering offered in a Nissan sedan. The Maxima anchors this package with the gutsy acceleration of a 290 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that, some argue, offers the segment's finest delights. Maxima's strong exterior design makes an impact with its deeply sculpted surfaces, 18-inch and available 19-inch alloy wheels shod with low profile tires that help create the powerful, dynamic presence distinguishing the 4-door sportscar from other mid-size sedans. One of Maxima's unique features continues to be the available Dual Panel Moonroof, which combines a front section that moves like a normal moonroof and a fixed translucent rear glass section that provides light to rear seat passengers. Maxima offers an intimate interior design finished in premium materials that creates a sports car feel with controls placed ergonomically close, yet affords ample roominess and comfort for passengers to enjoy a long road trip. Reviews and Ratings
Overall
Pros Cons
Performance & handling of road Gas mileage is poor - more leg room needed for driver.
Comfort, quality of materials, workmanship Fenders too high - difficult to park
Styling - looks sleek and muscular Hard, rough ride. not as smooth as my avalon or my previous nissan maxima
Love the engine & how the car looks Viewing range when putting out onto oncoming traffic on right
Power pulling out into traffic Interior smell - car smells of burnt oil, toxic.
Exterior look is sporty, airodynamic and modern Seat belts are cheap, dont give with movement
Sturdy - this car is exceptional on the road. Panel alignment exterior - fit & finish
Styling - the styling of the maxima is second to none Interior console and dashboard makes the car look cheap
Performance & handling are absolutely amazing - sound system is incredible The trunk lock is in a terrible position. it should be on the door panel
Paint color - crimson black - so unusual, unique Groaning noise - supposedly from transmission - very annoying.
