When I was a kid, I was overjoyed to have a a tiny, plastic Power Wheels Jeep. Kids these days clearly have it much better, because they can ride around in this, the Morgan EV3 Junior. Well, wealthy kids at least-this toy costs £6662.50, or roughly $8250.

That's a crazy price on the face of it, but when you see what goes into the EV3 Junior, it starts to make sense. With a handmade carbon fiber body, leather interior, and wood dashboard, it really is a miniaturized version of the real Morgan EV3.

The EV3 Junior is capable of a max speed of 10 mph, which is only a tenth of the top speed of the full-size EV3, but that's plenty fast for kids ages six and up. Its battery takes four hours to charge completely, and Morgan quotes range at 10 miles, "depending on driving style." In other words, if your kid is Alex Roy in the making, expect to recharge often.

You can order your EV3 Junior in a choice of red, green, or ivory as standard, but Morgan's full 40,000-color palate is available for an extra charge. Buyers also get a choice of black or tan leather interior, and decals for additional personalization.

Based on Morgan's photos, the EV3 Junior looks like it comes with genuinely high-quality suspension components as well. How many other kids toys have coilovers like this?

The EV3 Junior is currently available for purchase on Morgan's website. You can also order one at your local Morgan dealer ... if you have a local Morgan dealer.

This is a ridiculously expensive toy for sure. But just like everything in Morgan's lineup, if you're justifying it by price, you're missing the point.
