Car thieves come in all shapes and sizes, including this suspect who has only one leg and is in a wheelchair. He didn’t let that stop him from taking a Toyota Sienna that wasn’t his, leading police in Arkansas on a dangerous chase.

Watch a McLaren 720S flee from police.

Normally we’d think a police pursuit involving a minivan like this Toyota Sienna would be boring. It’s not just the fact the driver has only one leg which makes the dashcam footage interesting, though. On top of that, the suspect is essentially fearless, engaging in some incredibly risky maneuvers all to stay head of his pursuers.

As you can see in the included footage, this guy weaves through traffic and goes into the opposing lanes of traffic like it’s nothing. We haven’t seen someone throw a minivan around like that since the last time we were at a youth soccer game.

But the cops stay hot on his tail, so this guy kicks things up a notch, entering the highway using an off-ramp. That means he’s driving the wrong way, against traffic, pushing the Toyota to higher speeds.

Police immediately terminate the pursuit and try following the action from the right side of the highway. That of course doesn’t do anything, but pursuit policy calls for the ineffective method. We’re not sure if chasing the minivan the wrong way would’ve been any better or perhaps worse.

The guy eventually gets off the highway, we guess because maybe he was nervous he’d get in a huge wreck. But he then gets into a huge wreck on surface streets at an intersection. Considering how cautiously he was driving, we just can’t imagine how that happened.

It was only a few moments after they arrived on scene that police realized the car the suspect ran into had gone off the road and wasn’t easily visible. What did they think the Sienna crashed into?
