Peacock Promises Betrayal & Alan Cumming's Best Highland Wardrobe In 'The Traitors' Trailer

Some of the biggest reality television stars will find themselves in a psychological adventure where lies and deceit are the rules in the new Peacock competition series “The Traitors.” And we now have an in-depth look at the drama with a brand new trailer.

In a remote castle in the Scottish highlands, contestants are pitted against one another in a series of challenges to figure out who are "The Faithful" and who are "The Traitors," the select few contestants working to sabotage their fellow players. The series — hosted by Alan Cumming — stars 20 cast members, 10 of whom are celebrities who may look familiar because they have appeared on other reality television shows, including USA Network's "Snake In The Grass." From "Big Brother" to "Survivor" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" to name a few, they will bring their own brands of backstabbing and shade to the game.

In the newly released trailer for “The Traitors,” there’s a glimpse of the challenges the contestants will go through, including one where some of the cast are buried alive in this murder mystery to die for.

"You will need the strength of a liar and the stealth of a fox," Alan Cumming tells the contestants before later adding, "In this game, the person sitting next to you may smile and smile … and be a villain."
