Pop star Pitbull says 'don't stop the party' with Iggy Azalea at Wells Fargo Arena

Miami’s own Pitbull and opener Iggy Azalea brought flavors and fusion from the 305 to Wells Fargo Arena during a fiery Sunday night tour stop.

In front of 10,000 audience members, the pop artist started his "Can’t Stop Us Now" Tour performance with “Don’t Stop the Party” in an all-black outfit topped with a classic leather jacket and his signature dark sunglasses.

Hundreds held up smartphone-lit flashlights and sang along during sultry hit “Hotel Room Service" before the hitmaker “put it down like New York City” during a performance of “International Love” beside a live band and six background dancers.

“Everybody in Iowa, we appreciate the love,” Pitbull said.

The Cuban American pop artist made it rain with his popular Marc Anthony collaboration “Rain Over Me,” the duo’s 2011 track, and danced alongside up-and-coming Orlando-based producer DJ Chino.

The audience was fired up with performances of "Timber," "Fireball" and "Hot," a dedication to the rapper's close friend and frequent collaborator Daddy Yankee, the reggaetón rapper who announced his retirement earlier this year.

"Mr. Worldwide" sang the patriotic number “USA” during a special guest appearance with country artist Filmore, remixed his flirty 2011 record “On The Floor” featuring Jennifer Lopez, grinded to the funky “Feel Good,” and shook the audience with "Shake Senora Remix."

The artist, who has reached the Billboard charts around 45 times, also belted out his popular songs including "You Like It," "I Know You Want Me, "Time of Our Lives," "Give Me Everything," and "Feel This Moment."

Pitbull briefly stopped the show on the backside of his set to ask an arena staff member for a black snapback hat thrown to him by a fan.

“I want everyone in Iowa to put their hands up,” Pitbull said.

The Australian-born Azalea, who announced a return to music in a buzzy tweet earlier this month, opened the stop with her 2019 social media anthem “Sally Walker” and “Work,” the breakout single from her 2014 album “The New Classic” that catapulted her to mainstream industry success.

“515, the energy is amazing,” the rapper, whose adopted hometown is Miami, exclaimed to the audience.

In a lime green bodysuit flanked by four background dancers, Azalea performed “Team" alongside her own, rhymed Rita Ora feature “Black Widow,” and rapped lyrics to the inspirational banger “Impossible is Nothing.”

Azalea also performed sassy release “Started” from her sophomore studio album “In My Defense,” no-nonsense “No Mediocre” produced alongside former mentor Atlanta rap artist T.I., and “Problem,” the Aussie’s smooth saxophone-filled feature with global superstar Ariana Grande.

Azalea closed the set with chart-topper “Fancy,” the catchy Charli XCX collaboration that elevated her career to A-list fame during the mid-2010s.

“You’re about to have the best night of your summer,” Azalea said before "Mr. 305" took to the arena stage.

Thousands of attendees danced, as dazzling white-colored confetti rained down above them at the concert's end.
