Need a big piece of art to spice up your living room? We have just the thing. This factory-built 1:1 scale model of a Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 race car is coming up for auction in October via RM Sotheby's. It could be your only chance to own such an accurate representation of the car that dominated Le Mans from 2015 to 2017.

Porsche built a total of 13 full-scale 919 replicas for display and promotional purposes, according to RM Sotheby's. The bodies are made from fiberglass and sit on a steel frame, but still use real Michelin racing slicks to roll around. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain from the real 919 is absent from this car, meaning you'll have to push it by hand to get it anywhere.

RM says Porsche used original CAD modeling data from the design team to build these models, which is why they look so real. This particular example uses a Porsche Intelligent Design livery similar to the one used on the 919 driven to overall victory in 2015 by Earl Bamber, Nick Tandy, and Nico Hülkenberg.

The 1:1 scale model shown above is set to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby's at its Open Roads event in Miami, happening October 6-13, 2021. The auction house doesn't list a price range, but considering it was built by the factory and only 13 exist, we're betting it won't be cheap.
