Another year, another blissful run of The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering. Once again, we spent the day surrounded by the world's most beautiful cars, great food, and delightful conversation. If you weren't able to make it this year, here's what you missed.
This year, Road & Track's booth was brightened by the presence of the EV6 GT and its larger sibling, the EV9, thanks to our partners at Kia. Welcome guests to us, as the EV6 GT, a 576-horsepower electric beast, is one of our favorite electric cars on the road today, and we have similarly high expectations for the EV9 as well.
If you made it past the Kias, folks at our booth spent time shuffling through the pages of our most recent issue, centered around "New Vintage," as well as our Monterey Car Week special print, which we worked on in partnership with Town & Country. The magazines were free for the taking, along with caviar from the San Francisco-based The Caviar Co., oysters, and, of course, champagne. Lots of champagne.
Inside our booth, guests shoulders and chatted with folks from our team. Editor-in-chief Mike Guy, executive editor Dan Pund, editors at large AJ Baime and Matt Farah, and many others were on hand to discuss our latest print issues and the new cars that manufacturers were unveiling during Car Week.
We had a blast. We hope to catch you fine folks out there once again next year.
