Are you into European-sports-cars-turned-rally-machines as much as we are? Well then, we're happy to tell you the Aston Martin V8 Vantage that was converted into a WRC rally car a few years back has come up for sale. You should definitely buy it.

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

This 2013 Vantage was converted into an R-GT class competitor for the World Rally Championship in 2015 by Finnish race shop Mäkelä Auto Tuning. The conversion is extremely impressive, and looks like something that rolled out of a factory works garage. The car retains most of its stock body panels, but features some aero upgrades (a wing, a splitter and some canards), as well as a raised ride height, a super-cool light pod, and a roof scoop for cabin airflow. The inside has been turned into a full-on rally cockpit, with bucket seats, a roll cage, and a hydraulic handbrake. The naturally aspirated V8 remains, but the transmission has been replaced with a race-ready sequential 'box.

We've written about this car twice before, mainly to showcase the wonderful sound it makes. You don't see many top-level rally cars these days with naturally aspirated V8s-most of them sport turbo-four cylinders. Please, listen for yourself. You'd be doing yourself a disservice not to. And turn the volume up. You won't regret it.

The car recently popped up for sale at a dealership called DPM Motors in Monaco. The ad is pretty vague, and doesn't have a list price, mileage reading, or any sort of description. But seeing as how thorough this conversion is, we assume this car can't be cheap. Check it out here on DPM's website.
