When discussing the C2 Corvette, all anybody ever talks about is the split window. Maybe someone will discuss how they like the unique design better or the fact that it might provide some extra stability to the car. However, at the end of the day the matter of fact is that the split windows are the only Corvettes, other than convertibles, of that generation that you can find anymore. A much rarer title goes to the single window Corvettes which feature one incredibly large glass piece on the back windshield. This is one of those cars left in existence and rest assured it’s in a lot better condition than you might expect for such an old gal.

First of all, you won't find a dent on this car‘s body. From the ground up it was fully restored taking thousands of man hours and lots of money to re-create answer original theory. From there, it was a matter of picking the coolest design, a smooth white with black two-tone to provide as a nice aggressive attitude. Plus, something you won’t find on most of GM’s classics, the car features a lot of original body panels and even things like doors that are usually extremely difficult to find, at least when it comes to finding the ones that came on the vehicle originally from the factory. All of these things are pretty interesting but the big money maker has a lot more to do with what type of hood.

Yes, there is the 427 cubic-inch V-8 engine which makes around 425 hp, a ridiculous feat for the time that is pretty much applauded in every automotive literature there is about these cars. However, the more interesting feature is the M-22 Muncie four speed manual transmission which only came in 15 of these vehicles. Indeed, this is no ordinary road car which is exactly why it is one of the very few vehicles built specifically for homologation purposes. That means that you could be driving around what was essentially a race car from the 1960s with all of the decals, bodywork, and paint job to back it up. It’s just your lucky day too, because this Corvette is up for auction.
