Road Rage Started By Fender Bender Turns Deadly

Another road rage incident turned deadly, this time in West Hollywood, California. What started as a simple fender bender between two cars in a strip mall parking lot escalated into explosive violence, leaving one driver dead and the other hospitalized.

Carjacking victim shoots carjacker after the carjacker shoots her girlfriend.

You can see in footage taken by KTLA 5 the two vehicles, a solar panel company truck and an old Toyota Previa, are still touching rear corner to rear corner. We’re guessing they both tried backing out of their spots in front of a convenience store at the same time, collided lightly, then the drivers got out to fight.

According to witnesses, the two men involved in the deadly road rage dispute were middle aged. In other words, more than old enough to know better yet they still fought like little kids. Sad.

One guy interviewed by KTLA 5 said the larger of the two men punched the other one in the face as they were arguing. He claims the other man hit his head on the pavement after being punched. That man was the one who died, perhaps from severe head trauma, although authorities aren’t disclosing the potential cause as an investigation is ongoing.

It’s also unclear how the other man was injured enough to require hospitalization. He could be facing some serious charges.

We have so many questions about this case, as we’re sure everyone does, because it seems so senseless. Then again, every road rage fight does, so it’s par for the course at this point.

We know road ragers aren’t thinking clearly, but somehow the message that this kind of behavior isn’t just ridiculous, it could cost them their lives. And if it doesn’t, it could land them in prison for a long time.
